Back to School – August 27

Posted on Tuesday, 31 July 2012

School starts in less than a month on August 27th for Alvin ISD students and children of the master-planned Sedona Lakes community. As most families get ready for back to school with shopping for school supplies and clothes, remember Alvin ISD adopted a new dress code for 2012-13.

One of the major changes in the Alvin ISD dress code is students are now allowed to wear jeans everyday. Only a few restrictions apply – blue or black jeans may be worn. Jeans must be appropriately sized, fitting at the waist; no holes or frays allowed. Designer jeans will be the hot, new addition to shopping lists for Alvin ISD students.

Before heading out for back-to-school shopping, residents of Sedona Lakes can take advantage of a few more days to enjoy the resort-style amenities of the community. The pavilion and pool are a popular hang out spot for both children and adults in Sedona Lakes.

How will you spend the last few days of Summer before school starts? Tell us about it on our Facebook page.
